“You can choose not to like New York. You can choose not to go up the Empire State Building because it makes you dizzy. You can choose not to cross the Brookklyn Bridge because it was built in 1883 and you never know. You can choose not to visit the Statue of Liberty because everyone does it. You can choose not to walk in Central Park because you hate strollers, joggers, cyclists and squirrels. You can choose not to like New York because it is impossible to choose between the Cajun, Chinese, Indian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Jewish, seafood, Tex-Mex, vegetarian, and even American restaurants. You can choose not to like New York because it is America. You can choose not to like jazz, literature or cinema. You can choose not to like New York, because, if you go to New York, never again will you be able to not like it.“
